we
rejected endless time and
what procession
what line
hearts and
myths of exorcism
we are voiceless
devouring time
all but you fall in waters
pray fear while
mountain myths
allegories feed
us transformations
echoing light
penitentiary parts under
anti-fictions prepare us for forever
forgetting
the will into sheep under
the shade and fall of
light
Computer poetry is warfare carried out by other means, a warfare against conventionality and language that has become automatized. Strange as it seems, our finite state automata have become the poet’s allies in this struggle, the long historical battle by which mankind pries into the surface of language to reveal its latent mysteries… R.W. Bailey, Computer Poems (1973)

Infinite Monkeys v1.50
I wanted to announce that Infinite Monkeys has gotten a major upgrade. The new feature allows you to "eat" text into memory, and then generate new text from the old text, using bigrams (for now). The bigrams associate the word that comes before with the word that comes after, cataloging also the number of times it occurs. I'm going to be experimenting with the routine which draws words so updates will be forthcoming and most likely rapid.

Also, if you choose to eat scripts to generate other scripts, please be aware that your bracketing of tags and the like may not be properly closed. Improper code may produce unexpected results. I'm not the greatest programmer on earth.

charNG
charNG produces shockingly impressive results. It can produce portmanteaus from character n-grams which are generally really good. You can find the online version of this program here: http://www.eddeaddad.net/charNG/
The system is extremely simple to use and produces immediate results. For instance, upon throwing a large smattering of my own poems into charNG, I was immediately rewarded with some really weird sounding verse.

The Economy (8.1.11)
in retrospect
money grows on trees
and the word is made meat
in the language of arsonists
the water tongued snake is evaluator
money or nothing
the earth is a simplex of debt
running off borrowed sunlight
we excrete dinosaurs and animals
through our tailpipes
and one day our fathers as well
we will dig through our ancestors
to find their oil
george washington returns
as a noxious vapor in a child's lungs
as the oil-jesus passes into the sunset
passed in the gas of the great machine
as the revolution races
toward the starting line
these are primal screams
lusting for primordial liberty
the liberty to revoke liberty
and turn it all to debt
